Aircon Servicing in Singapore: Which Service You Need

Clean On Demand books aircon servicing in Singapore online: general servicing, a chemical wash and overhaul, troubleshooting and repair, and gas top-up, for two to four units at a time.
In Singapore's heat and humidity, an aircon runs most of the year. Dust and damp build up inside it, so it cools less well and costs more to run. Regular servicing keeps the air cold and the unit dry inside.
Which aircon service do you need?
Pick the service that matches what your aircon is doing:
- General servicing: for units that work fine but need routine care. It covers the filters, the cooling coil, the blower and the drain pipe, so the unit keeps cooling and doesn't drip.
- Chemical wash and overhaul: for units that smell musty, blow weak air or haven't been serviced in a long time. The indoor unit is opened up and its parts are cleaned with a cleaning solution, which removes mould, bacteria and built-up dirt that routine servicing can't reach.
- Troubleshooting and repair: for a fault. Air that isn't cold, an overheating unit, a gas leak or water leaking from the indoor unit can all be checked and fixed.
- Gas top-up: for units low on refrigerant, often the reason air stops feeling cold. The technician tops up R22 or R410A refrigerant, or refills it completely.
If you're not sure, start with general servicing. The technician can tell you if the unit needs a chemical wash or a repair.
How often to book aircon servicing in Singapore
Most aircon technicians in Singapore suggest general servicing every three to six months for units used every day. Bedroom units that run all night need it more often than a living room unit used now and then.
A chemical wash is usually needed less often, when routine servicing no longer brings the cooling back, or when you notice a smell. Book one sooner if any of these happen:
- the air feels weaker or less cold than before;
- water drips from the indoor unit;
- you notice a musty smell when it starts;
- the unit makes new noises or switches off on its own.
How booking works
You book online in a few steps:
- Choose Air Conditioner under deep cleaning, then the service you need.
- Choose how many units you need serviced: two, three or four.
- Add chemical cleaning or a gas refill if you need them.
- Pick a date and time, enter your address and pay online.
The booking page shows the current price for your choices before you pay, so you know the cost up front.
How to prepare for the visit
A little preparation makes the visit faster:
- Clear the space under each indoor unit, so the technician can set up a ladder.
- Move anything fragile off shelves near the units.
- Make sure the technician can reach the outdoor compressor, whether it's on a ledge, a balcony or a service yard.
- Keep the power on, so each unit can be tested after servicing.
- Tell us in the booking notes about any fault you've noticed, such as a leak or a noise.
How long the visit takes depends on how many units you book and which service. A chemical wash and overhaul takes longer than general servicing, as each unit is opened up.
If something isn't right
If you're not happy with the work, tell us within 12 hours of the service ending and send photos or a video of the issue. We review it and, where it's needed, arrange a re-service, a service credit or another fix. The full terms are in our service guarantee policy.
Plans change, so you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment.
Questions
What is included in general aircon servicing?
General servicing cleans the filters, the cooling coil and the blower, and flushes the drain pipe so water flows out instead of dripping. The technician then tests the unit to check it cools properly.
What is the difference between a chemical wash and a chemical overhaul?
Both use a cleaning solution on the inside of the unit. A chemical wash cleans the parts with the unit opened up in place, while an overhaul takes it apart further for the deepest clean. We book them as one service, and the technician does what your unit needs.
Why is my aircon leaking water?
Most often the drain pipe is blocked by dust and slime, so water backs up and drips from the indoor unit. General servicing flushes the pipe. If it keeps leaking, book troubleshooting and repair.
Why is my aircon not cold?
The usual causes are dirty filters and coils, or low refrigerant gas. Servicing fixes the first, and a gas top-up the second. If neither helps, troubleshooting finds the fault.
Can I book servicing for more than one unit?
Yes. You choose two, three or four units in one booking, and add chemical cleaning or gas for the same units.
