Part-Time Helper in Singapore

Book a part-time helper in Singapore with Clean On Demand: a trained housekeeper cleans your home for 3, 4 or 5 hours, once or on a monthly plan.
A few hours of cleaning every week or two keeps most homes in order, without a live-in helper. Our housekeepers are Clean On Demand's own team, trained to our standards before their first booking, and you book them online by the hour.
What a part-time helper cleans
Every session covers the main rooms:
- Living room and bedrooms: vacuuming and mopping the floors, dusting furniture and emptying the bins.
- Bathroom: cleaning the shower area and bathtub, washing the toilet bowl and sink, then washing and mopping the floor.
- Kitchen: wiping the cabinets and counter tops, washing and drying the sink, wiping the outside of appliances and mopping the floor.
The 5-hour part-time session adds ironing and folding. The housekeeper irons up to five pieces plus a set of bedsheets for a queen and a single bed, and folds up to 25 pieces of laundry.
When you book, you can add cleaning for fridges, ovens, windows or two to four aircon units, or a disinfection of the home. On a 3-hour or 4-hour session, you can also add 30 minutes or an hour.
3, 4 or 5 hours: how long to book
As a rough guide:
- 3 hours for a studio, a three-room flat or a two-bedroom condo that's cleaned often.
- 4 hours for a four-room flat or a three-bedroom condo.
- 5 hours for a five-room or executive flat, or any home with ironing and folding to do.
A home that hasn't been cleaned for a while takes longer the first time. For built-up dirt, start with a deep clean, then keep it up with regular sessions.
Regular cleaning on a monthly plan
If you want help every week or two, a monthly plan books the sessions for you:
- Standard: two 3-hour sessions a month.
- Enhanced: three 4-hour sessions a month.
- Premium: four 4-hour sessions a month, with priority scheduling.
See the monthly plans, or ask our team for a plan built around your schedule.
Is a part-time helper legal in Singapore?
Yes, when the helper comes from a cleaning company. Hiring another household's foreign domestic worker for a few hours is not allowed. The Ministry of Manpower says it's an offence for a foreign domestic worker to take part-time work, even with her employer's consent.
Our housekeepers work for Clean On Demand directly. We don't send agency or third-party cleaners, and every housekeeper is trained before being assigned to a booking.
How booking works
- Choose general cleaning and the 3-hour, 4-hour or 5-hour part-time session.
- Add anything extra, including our cleaning supplies and tools if you'd rather not use your own.
- Pick a date and time and enter your address. We cover all of Singapore, Sentosa and Tuas included.
- Pay online. You see the full price before you pay, and a confirmation email follows.
You can also book on WhatsApp or by phone. Your booking shows the housekeeper once one is assigned.
Before the housekeeper arrives
- Cleaning tools and supplies aren't included. Leave out a vacuum, a mop and pail, cloths and your usual cleaners, or add ours when you book.
- Clear clothes, toys and papers off floors and counters, so the time goes on cleaning.
- If time is short, tell the housekeeper which rooms matter most.
- Make sure someone can let the housekeeper in at the start.
If something isn't right
Report it within 12 hours of the clean, with photos or videos. We review it and, where the booked work wasn't done, arrange a reclean, a service credit, a new time or another fix, as our service guarantee sets out. Cancelling more than 24 hours ahead is free, and within 24 hours half the booking is charged.
Questions
How much is a part-time helper in Singapore?
It depends on the hours you book and any extras. The booking page shows the price of the 3-, 4- and 5-hour sessions and every add-on before you pay.
Is it illegal to hire a part-time helper in Singapore?
Booking a cleaning company's housekeeper is legal. Hiring another household's foreign domestic worker part-time is not, and the Ministry of Manpower treats it as an offence even if her employer agrees.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?
Yes, unless you add our cleaning supplies and tools when you book. The housekeeper then brings what's needed.
Can I get a part-time helper every week?
Yes. The Premium plan gives you four 4-hour sessions a month, and the other plans two or three. Our team can also set up a plan around your schedule.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Someone needs to let the housekeeper in at the appointment time. If nobody can, the housekeeper waits up to 15 minutes before the visit may count as missed.
